Cody

Say hello to Cody. I've named him that, because according to his tag, his proper name is "Codiaeum Variegatum."  I think what really drew me to adopt him was his big, bright and colorful leaves.  As you can see in the top picture, he has some leaf damage- but it doesn't take away from his vivacious personality.  He reminds me quite a bit of my nephew- he's been through alot of moving around and changes in his life, but he's kept this energetic colorfulness to him. Cody sits in the middle of our living room, right in the middle of everything; the center of our home's energy.  Although he is small, he has a rather large effect on the mood and atmosphere of the living room. Living in such a plain dorm with white walls, and living in an area with quite a few dreary, depressing days; Cody permeates the depressing air with a beautiful vibrancy that we can all learn from in difficult times. As Cynthia brings life to our living room; Cody brings a more youthful energy that reminds me to be positive and keep going even if it seems that everything else is looking down.
